Full project title: Development of part-time studies and short-cycle learning in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina (PARTISH)

The main goal of the PARTISH project is to improve higher education and promote lifelong learning orientation in BiH through the development of part-time studies and short-cycle studies, a legal framework for introducing this type of study, and recommendations for higher education institutions for implementing part-time studies and short-cycle studies throughout BiH, in order to meet the needs and interests of students, the business sector, and higher education institutions in different cantons/entities. The project results will contribute to broader access to higher education and greater relevance and adaptability of higher education to the labor market.

The PARTISH project has the following objectives:

1. Define a legal framework that will support the development and implementation of part-time and short-cycle studies in higher education in BiH
2. Develop online and conventional (face-to-face) learning methodologies and technologies for part-time and short-cycle studies, tailored to adults and employed students
3. Carry out pilot implementation of five part-time and short-cycle studies (online and face-to-face) to test the project outcomes.
Achieving these objectives will open up new opportunities in the context of part-time and short-cycle studies for employed students who want to improve existing or acquire new qualifications, for unemployed people to gain qualifications demanded by the labor market, and for higher education institutions in terms of expanding their range of educational programs.

The PARTISH project is co-financed by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union, and the total project value is EUR 960,644. Project implementation began in January 2021 and will last until January 2024 (36 months)..
