Project name/acronym:
ROBONETCBC
Full project name:
“Development of an innovation network for the adoption of robotics solutions, and the development of sensors to improve monitoring and prevention of pollution in freshwater and marine ecosystems”
Programme: Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro
Priority axis 1: Smart investments in research, innovation and competitive entrepreneurship
Specific objective: 1.1 – Development and strengthening of research and innovation capacities, and the adoption of advanced technologies
About the project:
The ROBONETCBC approach combines smart investments in research, innovation and competitive entrepreneurship, as it includes the development of new solutions and the adoption of existing innovative practices that go beyond current approaches in the sector, the programme area and the participating countries.
By promoting an improved HELIX triple cooperation model and proactively responding to risks related to climate change and the impact of pollution, the project will lead to more resilient, sustainable and innovative solutions.
The project consortium, made up of regional authorities, research institutions, universities and institutions that support entrepreneurship, brings together a diverse range of expertise and resources. Their cooperation significantly contributes to the development of an innovative network for improving robotic and sensor systems for monitoring and preventing ecosystem pollution in marine and freshwater environments. Their joint efforts will encourage cooperation, knowledge exchange, capacity building and access to funding, ensuring the success of the project and its long-term impact.
By encouraging new research and innovative applications in the blue economy, the project will mitigate the negative effects of pollution on marine and freshwater ecosystems in the region, while also implementing innovative solutions in the region’s Blue Economy, advocating increased investment in blue technologies.
Specific project objective: Development and improvement of research and innovation capacities and the adoption of advanced technologies
Main project result: The project aims to promote and encourage the application of innovative blue technologies related to monitoring solutions as a tool for preventing further devastation, including pollution, as well as ensuring the sustainable use of marine and freshwater ecosystems within the region.
