Within the Energy Sector, the Association for Renewable Energy Sources (UOIE) actively operates as a professional association, with the main goal of promoting renewable energy sources and creating conditions for faster and more effective solutions to problems in the field of renewable energy, alongside the development of related industries, creating prerequisites for the development and application of new technologies, and thereby opening new jobs.

The activities of UOIE are based on:

• the energy sector strategy and sustainable development policy in the function of environmental protection, security, integrity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness;
• the implementation of energy sector reform and the development of the renewable energy sector through participation in the preparation and adoption of legal and subordinate regulations;
• the necessity and need to change the structure of energy sources by relying on renewable sources and their greater share in direct consumption;
• monitoring the process of European integration, informing and supporting activities in accordance with the Treaty establishing the Energy Community of Southeast Europe;
• influencing economic policy measures, as well as education and the application of new technologies.

Members of UOIE may be companies in the field of renewable energy sources, institutes, institutes, centers, organizations, academic institutions and representatives of public administration.
